Public Sector Training – a coordinated approach

TAFE NSW working with the NSW Department of Premier and Cabinet can equip you and your staff with the skills required to improve public sector performance. These workshops are designed to meet the specific needs of public sector staff.

Across sector information exchange is an important part of the calendar training. We can also provide training customised to meet your agency's specific needs by working with you to identify workforce development requirements.

TAFE NSW Public Sector Training offers readily available skills-based training that will:

  • Increase knowledge and skills relevant to public sector business
  • Enhance core capabilities of public sector employees
  • Provide greater understanding of public sector processes
  • Improve workforce capacity
  • Provide networking opportunities and multi-agency participation across all regions of NSW
  • Facilitate information sharing about sector practices
  • Present opportunities to work on workbased projects

  • 1 day workshops: $295 per person
  • 2 day workshops: $495 per person

Workshops are GST-free.

Workshops are delivered by experienced trainers who are highly qualified workplace practitioners in the public sector.

Qualifications – further training options

When you complete the workshop you will receive a Statement of Attendance from TAFE NSW. After completion of a workshop there are a number of further training and/or recognition options that can lead to qualifications from Statement of Attainment to Diploma level. Click here for more information.

Recognition of existing skills and knowledge

TAFE NSW Recognition Services provides an opportunity to recognise the skills and knowledge you have gained from work, life experiences, previous professional development courses and qualifications.

University articulation

Our credit transfer arrangements with several Australian universities allow entrance or articulation into a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs, providing a cost effective way to achieve a university qualification.
