As a TAFE NSW student you’ll receive a TAFEcard, which you’ll need when you sit exams and apply for travel concessions. Your TAFEcard can also be used for things like accessing parking and making purchases from vending machines. You’ll also receive a personal email account.
You’ll meet all kinds of people at TAFE – people who have just finished school; people doing Diploma courses to articulate into university; people who want to upskill and go for a promotion at work, international students and people who have come to TAFE so they can do what they really want to do and make a complete career change.
You train with teachers who have extensive real-world experience in their industry, and class sizes are smaller than at university, so you won’t get lost in the crowd. Your teachers are easily approachable and can offer you a wealth of knowledge about the industry you want to get into.
