We’re here to help you at TAFE NSW

If you want to talk to someone about your career direction, you're thinking about a career change, you're experiencing difficulties with study or you want advice on finding a job, you can access career and education counselling as a current or intending TAFE NSW student.

Our counsellors have an extensive knowledge of TAFE NSW programs and services, as well as other educational and vocational pathways, so they can help you see 'the big picture'. They can also give you help or advice on health related issues, personal problems, and referral to other services such as legal, medical and accommodation.

TAFE NSW offers a comprehensive range of student support services. Find out more about Aboriginal programs, children’s centres, disability services, the DET Portal, financial assistance, Outreach programs, travel concessions, women's programs, programs for people who are unemployed and want to get back into the workforce, and more.

You'll find it easy to access extra learning resources at TAFE. You can check out your TAFE library, in fact you have access to any TAFE library in NSW; if you need extra help with your studies we offer tutorials and workshops, and you can also access information online with the Learning Gateway.

People who have difficulties with literacy and numeracy can access support services and programs through TAFE NSW to help them gain the skills to pursue work, or further study or training.

TAFE NSW also provides excellent programs to help people from non-English speaking backgrounds improve their English language skills.

When you're a TAFE NSW student we're here to help you – so if there is anything we may be able to help you with, just ask!
